Около полусотни солдат Национальной гвардии Украины, принимавших участие в атаке на Славянск, отказались дальше сражаться в знак протеста против проведения силовой операции. Все большее число военнослужащих попросту не желают больше стрелять в своих сограждан. С подробностями корреспондент RT Пола Слиер.
Военная операция Киева на юго-востоке Украины продолжается 6 недель, в ней погибли уже десятки солдат. Армия решительно сражается с местными отрядами самообороны, однако сама находится на грани развала.
Всё больше солдат отказываются подчиняться приказам. И, несмотря на полную мобилизацию, объявленную Киевом в марте, набор призывников практически прекратился. Из четырёх офицеров, отвечающих за эту работу в Луганске, сегодня остался только один. Военкомат пустует.
Журналистов с камерами не пускают в здание военкомата в Луганске. Корреспондент RT поговорила с работником военкомата, и он рассказал, что набор призывников не ведётся уже несколько недель. Журналисты попросили разрешения пообщаться с председателем комиссии, но оказалось, что он досрочно ушёл в отставку.
В прошлом месяце исполняющий обязанности президента Александр Турчинов подписал указ о мобилизации всех мужчин в возрасте от 18 до 25 лет. Отказ подчиниться грозил тюрьмой.
Однако молодой человек в чёрной маске готов рискнуть не только своей свободой. Он проигнорировал призыв, а теперь и вовсе сражается против армии, в которой должен был служить.
«На третье марта мне пришла повестка в военкомат. Я отказался и не поехал. Я не собираюсь воевать против своего народа», - рассказал он.
Но были и те, кто откликнулся на призыв, и теперь сожалеют об этом решении. 20-летнего сына Марии призвали год назад, он несёт службу на западе Украины. Женщина боится, что его самого могут воспринимать как врага из-за того, что он из восточной части страны.
