29 июня в Луганске состоялся митинг, тысячи людей вышли на улицы города на акцию Сохраните жителей Донбасса. Остановите войну! Глава Луганской народной республики Валерий Болотов выступил с яркой речью:
«Фашизм ступил своим сапогом на нашу православную землю. Донбасс встал, Донбасс будет драться за себя и за будущее славянского народа»!
Женщина со слезами на глазах обратилась к собравшимся со словами скорби и надежды:
«У меня забрали мужа. Украинское телевидение молчит. Наша земля теряет мужчин, женщин и стариков. Скорбит весь мир, кроме Западной Украины. Хочется кричать во все горло за что брат убивает брата, за что солдат убивает ребенка и старика? Пол мира оправдывает войну. Надеюсь, что наши жертвы не напрасны. Мы имеем право на самоопределение, на свое мнение, на свою жизнь»!
